The role of UPS for data center and its energy consumption analysis

1.There is a direct relationship between UPS efficiency and load rate
In general, the efficiency values given in the data center UPS technical parameters are derived from the rated load as well as other suitable system states, which represent the best efficiency that UPS for data center can achieve. However, very few UPS runs under 100% loads. When the load rate is low, the efficiency of UPS will be decreased obviously.
2.The efficiency of UPS system should not only consider the efficiency of the UPS itself
Because of the different topology or technology, different UPS have great difference in system configuration. For example, the UPS with IGBT rectifier, can meet the system requirements without the filter.
