Dustproof protection of telecom power supply

Although some dust intrusion won’t not affect the function of the telecom power supply equipment, the intrusion of dust is much more serious when the equipment is placed outside. Too much dust invasion will affect product life or product function. Especially in the northern part of China where often occur sandstorms . If the products are likely to be in the attack of sandstorms, it is necessary to have dust protection measures.
Dust is seamless, so the dustproof is closely related to the structure and packaging of the product cabinet. The working efficiency of the rectifier module is about 90%, and the efficiency of the inverting module (UPS) and the DC/DC module is over 80%. At the same time, the battery will generate heat when charging or discharging, which means that 10% to 20% of the energy must be distributed outward in the form of heat. There are two kinds of heat dissipation in outdoor telecom power supply system: ventilation and shell heat dissipation. Therefore, there are two basic ways for the design of the outdoor cabinet:
Air cooling type
The hot air is forced by the fan. In order to prevent dust, the dust filter network should be installed at the inlet and outlet. Because the filter network is easily blocked by dust. Once it is blocked, the exhaust heat will fail. The power will probably be protected by overheating and shutdown due to the heat can not be emitted and the internal temperature rises. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the filter network dust regularly in order to prevent the filter from blocking.
Enclosed type
The products are encapsulated in all kinds of circuits, completely using the package shell to dissipate the heat, so that it can be very well dustproof. Because of the lead-acid batteries in the products, although these batteries are known to be sealed, in fact, a small amount of corrosive gas (H2SO4) has been emitted. If the battery and circuit are sealed together, these trace of the corrosive gases will corrode the circuit in the long run, reducing the life of products, so the product can only be closed together, each module circuit.
