Soft switching and electrical level technology
The soft switching technology makes use of the resonance principle to change the current or voltage in the switching device according to the sine law. When the current is over zero, the device is turned off; When the voltage is zero, the device is turned on. Thus, the switching loss is reduced, and the problems of inductive shutdown and capacitive opening are greatly solved. When the voltage at the ends of the switch tube or the current flowing through the switch tube is zero, the switch is switched on or off so that there is no switching loss in the switch tube.
The soft switching resonant converter is composed of inductors and capacitors. The resonant circuit increases the number of devices. The system becomes complex and the reliability is reduced; Since the power factor of commercial solar inverter is 1, the soft switching technique is only suitable for the DC-DC transform in the first stage, and the post stage DC-AC converter also requires electrical multilevel technology.
According to the electrical level of the output voltage, the inverter can be divided into two electrical levels and electrical multilevel. The main advantages of the two electrical level converter are as follows: simple circuit structure, small in number of capacitors and small in occupation. However, due to the high voltage required by the two electrical level inverter device, the switching loss is large. In order to avoid the above technical problems, electrical multilevel technology has begun to appear and has attracted more and more attention. The so-called electrical multilevel refers to the output voltage waveform in the electrical level of equal to or greater than 3 of the converter, such as three electrical level, five electrical level, seven electrical level and so on. The electrical multilevel converter reduces the voltage of the two electrical level to the two ends of the switching device, and can reduce the switching loss of the switching device by the proper modulation mode, while maintaining the lower harmonic on the AC side.
