Electrostatic induction overvoltage protection design
If lightning occurs near the solar cell components, will produce electrostatic induction voltage on the solar panels. Since the positive and negative leads of the solar panels are very close, a ground induced electrostatic overvoltage UC is formed on the two wire simultaneously.
It can be seen that there is no electrostatic overvoltage in the positive and negative wire loops of the battery board, that is, electrostatic induction lightning strikes cause no damage to the internal circuit of the battery board. When lightning occur near the cloud panels, strong electromagnetic field will appear sharp change of magnetic flux in the battery, the conductor will produce excessive voltage and current. It is obvious that the overvoltage and overcurrent will only occur on the closed loop of the aluminum alloy frame and enter the ground through the support. Therefore, the electromagnetic induction overvoltage will not cause impact damage to the solar cell assembly. In addition, the height of the solar cell square is much lower than that of the low-voltage overhead output pole, so the grounding of the pole can be used as one of the lightning protection measures of the battery square.
Surge protection is achieved by installing surge protectors on live cables, reducing the damage caused by surge and lightning overvoltages to equipment. Lightning surge invasion routes of solar power generation system, in addition to solar cell array, and distribution line, ground wire, so the solar power generation system needs to take the following protective measures:
1.Install surge protection device at each DC input end of the solar inverter.
2.Install surge protector in the grid access control cabinet to prevent the lightning wave intruded along the connecting cable.
